We are selling our 1998 SLk which has been on our fleet since about 2000. The V5 shows 7 owners but that is due to it being registered in various different staff names as they used it. As far as I can remember it had one owner before we bought it. It has a good service history, some at main dealers and some done by our own fleet garage. A recent service included both belts, front and rear calipers and front tyres. The mileage is low for its age and it runs really well. As far as I can tell everything works as it should although I've not tested the A/C recently, it was fine last summer according to the last driver. It's generally in good condition and has just passed it's MOT but some parts of the paint and bodywork let it down a bit. The drivers door was painted but has crazed at one spot, there is a dent in the front o/s lower wing and a scratch at the top, the rear bumper has a crack in it plus various other small car park type marks and some stone chipping to the bonnet. I tried to photograph these but being black they didn't show in the sunshine. The paint isn't fantastic all over but for early water based paint it does have a deep shine. The dash has some issues mainly with the coating on the surfaces peeling off at points but I've been told that a lot of them do this. There is a small crack in the facia under one of the gauges. Both windows shut properly but may need new seals at the top as sometimes you get some drips of water in. To sum up, it's a nice car at a good price but the paint has suffered a bit due to it being driven mainly in London. The car is kept at our base near Melton Mowbray.
