Description

I've owned this car since 2013. It's been a solid and reliable vehicle for most of its life, with no major issues until 2022, when I spent around 700 on repairs. After that, it ran fine until April 2024, when the serpentine (Poly-V) belt went. I didn't get around to fixing it until September 2024. By then, the car had been sitting idle on my driveway for months, which caused it to lose all power and stop starting. On 24/04/2025, a mechanic came to my house to take a look and estimated it could take anywhere between 300 to 700 to make the car MOT-compliant. It might drive for less than that, but things like brakes, discs, tyres, and possibly some electricals may need replacing. The mechanic couldn't do a full inspection as the car wasn't brought into a garage. I work from home and we've been using my wife's car for the past year, so I've decided not to put more money into this one. I'm selling it as-is, either for parts or as a project. Please Read Before Messaging: I don't know exactly what's wrong with the car beyond what I've shared. I don't want to investigate further - it's the buyer's responsibility from here. You might fix it for 300, or you might need to spend closer to 700. That's your risk. I'm not a mechanic and can't answer detailed technical questions. The engine has never given me problems, and to the best of my knowledge, it's in good condition. There's nothing dodgy here - just a genuine, honest sale of a car I no longer need or want to deal with. This deal is ideal for a mechanic, car professional, or someone who knows what they're doing. If you're just a regular buyer looking for a cheap, road-ready car, this is not the one for you. The car is on my driveway - you're welcome to come and check it out. If you're after parts, you'll need to bring tools and remove them yourself. The price reflects everything I've described - it's a fair deal for someone who knows what they're doing. Open to reasonable offers - no time wasters please.
