Description
Single family owned S2000 since new (father first, then me).
MOT runs until mid November 2025.
Selling because of another child due later this year and hard to justify to the wife having a 2 seater when we are going to have 4 kids (I've done well to keep it this long!).
Good condition for a 21 year old car that has been in constant use.
Just under 91k miles at time of writing, but I'm still using it so this will increase a little.
The bad bits:
- small line dent to the boot, which is hard to photograph. It's in the middle under the H badge.
- couple of small holes in the roof. It's fine for now, but I'd be looking to get it replaced this summer if I wasn't selling.
- a few minor door dents to the near side front panel, to the top right of the wheel arch. Near impossible to photograph.
- some scuffing to the alloys (see pictures). But these were sandblasted and redone a few years back so in decent condition.
- dent under the passenger door from hitting a curb - it's hard to see unless you are low down or far away. Doesn't impact the aesthetic of the car.
- going from 1st to 2nd gear is a bit clunky - common for the S2000 as I understand it. It's been like it since I've owned it and hasn't got any worse, but when you test drive it you'll see what mean.
Good bits:
- everything else!
- I have all paperwork since my dad bought it in 2004, including the receipt for the floor mats and an article by Clarkson at the time saying how great a car it is.
- engine continues to fly through the MOT each year.
- I've had a couple bits of rust removed and replaced very recently. I've got a quote for getting the underside properly treated if of interest, but it's actually in pretty good condition under there.
- 4 new tyres, also recently.
- if you've read this far, you're likely already aware of how good a car the S2000 is so I won't labour that point.
- never been raced or on a track day etc.
- no modifications whatsoever.
