Issues with this vehicle: Engine overheating problem. The following has been done in attempts to fix this: new water pump; new expansion tank and sensors; new radiator (all genuine VW parts). Engine overheat alarm still coming on intermittently. Therefore cylinder head gasket is the most likely cause, but not an economic repair for us. If this is a job you can do or get done cheaply, then you will get a cheap, reliable runabout with many new parts! Or you can scrap the car and use it as a donor vehicle. Air conditioning is not cooling. Could just need re-gassing, or could be compressor. Has not been investigated. Front near side tyre losing air very slowly.
