Description
I bought this in August 2016 with a high (145k) mileage and well worn interior. Now it has 186k on the clock and it still has a well worn interior plus some dents and scuffs on the outside (see photos) and it is a quite serviceable reliable runner. It has gone through all its MOTs with few jobs needing doing (see GOV.UK MOT history check). Next MOT is due 1 August 2025.
It has a removable towbar and 7-pin electrics -- all working and useful for towing my sailing dinghy down to the local quay.
I had a Parrot bluetooth kit installed, which kind of works except the USB line connection is dead. Ocean BMW main dealer fixed an oil leak back in January (at great expense) and replaced the driver's airbag on a BMW factory recall notice. I have a sheaf of invoices for work done over the past few years (air-con repair, front ball-joint replace, new battery, etc.)
So why am I getting rid of it? Because my wife doesn't like driving it (she's got a new VW ID.3 EV and complains that the old X3 is clunky, noisy, heavy steering, difficult to reverse, has no Apple Car Play, isn't ULEZ-compliant) and so persuaded me to get a newer more eco-friendly car.
