The Sports Roadster has been at the emotional heart of BMW for more than 80 years. Since the proud unveiling of the original BMW 315/1 Concept at the Berlin Motor Show in 1934, the Roadster has consistently played a key role in the BMW model line up throughout the decades. Iconic BMW signatures are present across the Z4 with the refreshed kidney grille building on the unique character of the model. With compact proportions, sleek aerodynamics, near perfect 50:50 weight distribution and a light yet rigid chassis structure, the BMW Z4 is equipped with the ideal credentials for an exhilarating drive. With classic Roadster proportions, The Z4 appears low and grounded with a sleek profile that suggests forward movement, even when it’s stationary. The precise contours of the sculpted bonnet are a distinct reference to the power that lies beneath and combined with the dominant air intakes, reinforce the muscular appearance. The "clam shell" style bonnet stretches across and down into the body sides to minimise shut lines - a characteristic hallmark of classic sports cars. The Z4 also comes with the M Aerodynamics package as standard, offering aerodynamic components in vehicle colour, consisting of bumper trim to the front and rear, as well as side sills. The cabin demonstrates ease for driver orientation. Control elements such as switches, air vents and driver controls are grouped into separate “functional islands” which are not only ergonomically beneficial for the driver but help create a calm and uncluttered feel inside. Roadster-specific M Sport seats feature a unique design with an integrated head rest. Upholstered in Vernasca leather as standard, they provide comfort and refinement for driver and passenger.
