Description

Selling my 2001 Land Rover Discovery 2 TD5 ES. This has been my only car and daily driver since 2022 and I have spared no expense in maintaining and servicing this car (around 6,000 since purchase). Huge folder of maintenance history dating back to 2008. * Largely very original example with upgrades being limited to adding a bluetooth module to the original head unit, a stage 1 remap, EGR delete, and conversion to non-ACE anti-roll system. * Correctly Resealed and Functioning Sun Roof * Upgraded Original Factory Cassette Head Unit with Bluetooth module. * Sitting on General Grabber AT3s * Chassis Welded in 2022 and then treated with rust converter and painted. 2022 * Transmission replaced * Alternator replaced * New battery * Radiator replaced * Aircon seals replaced and re-gassed * Injector wiring loom replaced * Rocker gasket replaced * Cam oil seal replaced * Radio head unit bluetooth upgraded 2023 * OSF shock absorber bush replaced * NSF drop link replaced * NSR drop link replaced * Starter motor replaced * Watts linkage replaced * Transmission cooler replaced * NS Transmission cooler line replaced * Sun roofs removed, resealed, replaced * NSF door actuator replaced * Tailgate door actuator replaced 2024 * Full exhaust replacement * NSF wheel bearing replaced * OSF wheel bearing replaced * Bottom coolant hose replaced * Non-ACE anti rolls bars and bushes fitted 2025 * Fuel pump replaced * Steering damper replaced Areas needing attention * The gearbox does drip some ATF although the leak isn't heavy and has not impacted daily use during my ownership, but some of the seals will need replacing at some point. * The handbrake shoes rattle at around 2.5k revs, this is a common Discovery 2 issue that does not affect handbrake effectiveness. I will include a new handbrake spring set. * I have noticed some power loss, I believe I have narrowed this down to the exhaust manifold needing replacement due warping - again very common TD5 issue. * The OSF and both rear passenger door actuators need replacing - I will include the OSR unit that I haven't fitted yet. I have just been opening the drivers door with the key until I got around to replacing the actuator - which hasn't happened unfortunately. * A handful of age-expected bodywork marks , including a crack in the OS front bumper that appears to have had a repair attempt at some point. I will also include any spares I have, a Haynes workshop manual, and replica of its first issued tax disc.
