2014 Peugeot 208 GTI THP 200 52,840 miles (still being daily driven so this will rise) General information: Owner: - Car journalist at Top Gear - Owned this car for the last 3 years (as of February 2022) - Put on 20,000 miles in that time, purchased at 32k miles for 8.5k - Love this car immensely, but have a second car that costs me a fortune to run and need something bigger than this for a daily. Very reluctant sale Mechanical details: - 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder - Six-speed manual - 197bhp/203lb-ft of torque - 0-62mph 6.6s - 143mph top speed - Estimated 350-380 miles of range in mixed settings during my tenure, full tank of premium 99 octane costs about 70 quid - Sounds good, lovely distant turbo whistle when you lay off the throttle at high revs - Superb, light handling thanks to the unusually small steering wheel - Good GT car, comfortable and economical - I used it to commute weekly from my house in East London to the Midlands for studying for a year, never once missed a beat. Now back home, it continues to serve as a fun, quirky daily to get to the gym and back Cabin: - Panoramic glass roof - 7in multimedia touchscreen - Digital speedo (can be repurposed to display other information) - Black leather and cloth seats with red accenting - Rear park sensor, cruise control, traction control - Heated front seats Good points: - Low mileage for age - Mechanically sound, pulls well in each gear - Practical for such a small car - All four tyres still in good condition with plenty of tread left - Unique colour combination of grey with black alloys and red brake callipers Bad points: - Rims curbed, some worse than others - Some trim has started to wear I.e one of the steering wheel buttons, small slab of plastic on lower steering wheel spoke - Seats are a little creased and do have a few blemishes - Stone chip on windscreen and a tiny scratch, latter can't be captured on camera but former is shown - Creaking sound coming from within cabin at times, suspect it's a loose bolt somewhere in the boot - Few scratches here and there on the body work but nothing serious Price is indicative of these foibles - none of which can't be fixed. Car is healthy, and has a lot of life left in it still. Will be cleaned, full fluid top up and serviced before sale. MOT expires in March, so it's just been renewed. Comes with 2 keys.
