Description
Selling my Golf after 5 years of careful ownership, due to no longer needing a second vehicle in my household.
The car has a few cosmetic imperfections to be aware of:
There is a rust hold in the front right wheel arch. The wing panel needs replacing, I've been quoted approx. 300GBP for this but unfortunately don't have time to organise myself.
The headliner (the fabric attached to the interior ceiling) sags and needs re-upholstering. A common problem with MK5s of this age. This is a fairly simple DIY job although again I don't have time to do this myself. As a temporary measure the fabric has been affixed with staples.
There's a few scratches to the paintwork (an unfortunate consequence of having previously lived on narrow street) but I'm told they're easily repairable. Also a couple of small dents. All as pictured to the best of my ability and I will happily point them out to you on viewing.
The car is priced with the above taken into account.
Now on to the positives:
I have a full service history for my ownership of the car, and also previous owners. Recent maintenance jobs have included:
New rear tyres - April 2025 (car not used since)
New alternator belt - January 2025, approx. 92k miles
New radiator - April 2024, approx. 91k miles
New battery - April 2022 - approx. 80k miles
New rear brakes (callipers, discs & pads) & hand brake cable - June 2021, 74k miles
New anti roll bar links - March 2021, 73k miles
New clutch - June 2020, 70k miles
I've used the car for social travel only so mileage has been relatively low during my ownership.
Both original keys provided, although remote central locking is only functioning on one.
The car has just had its MOT (next due March 2026) and has been cleaned, ready for its new owner to drive away.
Don't hesitate to get in touch with any questions. Thanks
