Description
Classic MK1 Audi TT with a folder full of original paperwork going back to 2002. Lots of service history at Audi main dealers and Audi specialists. Previously owned by a motoring journalist and an Audi TT club member. No expense spared over the years with 0000's spent including a refurbished display, cambelt in 2023, oil pressure sensors and sump clean in 2025, brake fluid twice in two years etc.
I bought the car last spring to scratch an itch in my car collection but now it's time to move on to the next lucky owner. Only covered c.3,500 miles per year.
For a car of this age there's very little wrong with it. Mechanically very sound, pulls nicely and has a great turn of speed, sounds great too.
I would say the paintwork is in great condition. There are some small scratches to the rear but they really are very small and hard to capture in photos. There are two very small areas of laquer peel on the front bumper which are easy to deal with - I just didn't get around to doing it. Wheels were refurbished two years ago and are in great condition, one now has a chip though.
Interior is lovely, everything functions now I have replaced the 6CD changer. Leather seats with not too much wear as you can see in the pictures. Heating all works fine including the seats, Bose stereo all working as expected, still comes with the original first aid kit! I have added an official Audi cargo net too.
Engine bay looks great, nice and clean with some dress work done on the clips which have been replaced with new bolts.
For full disclosure there are some minor niggles. The windows sometimes need a bit of a reminder to go back up, taking the door cards off and sorting out the regulators would probably do the job. When turning the wheel on full-lock when stationary or moving very slows sometimes elicits a slight noise from the OSF wheel. Interior a bit more rattly than it was when new and a small amount of wind noise from the drivers window above the legal limit (apparently).
Would suit someone looking for a good-quality classic that's still a great everyday drive. Test drive will require insurance (e.g. day insurance) so serious buyers only please. No silly offers, these are going up in value based on good condition like this. Private plate will be off in the next couple of days.
