Description
Morgan 4/4 four seater in Pearlescent Amaranth. I am the second owner having bought it from a specialist sports and classic car dealer in July 2019, who recommissioned it. The previous owner, I understand, owned a +8 as well and used that more often. In my ownership the car has done a little over a thousand miles each year. It has been mainly serviced at Nine Elms Morgan garage but a couple of years it was serviced at a local classic car garage. The last service at Nine Elms included overhaul of the steering and cost over 1,000 but the steering is much easier.
The car has an MOT expiring August.
New tyres were fitted when I bought it so they have done about 6,000 miles only. I understand they are 15x6J. New rear wheel cylinders were also fitted at that time and a new timing belt.
I replaced the light-coloured wooden steering wheel with a walnut-coloured wheel to match the walnut veneered dashboard.
It has a radio (which I have moved from the transmission tunnel to a position below the glove box so it can be operated without taking your eyes off the road) with DAB controller.
It has locking door handles and a lockable passenger side foot locker.
All the light bulbs apart from the indicators have been replaced with LED's at a cost of about four hundred pounds. Night driving is a pleasure with such bright lights. Brighter lights also make you more conspicuous on the road.
The car has a good quality dark blue mohair hood and matching tonneau. We loved the colour of the car and bought a four-seater as we had a long legged whippet. Sadly, we are both well over seventy and my wife has arthritis in her lower spine and is finding it extremely difficult to get in and out of the car especially with the hood up.
We have had some great trips in it, mainly to the West Country. It has a stainless steel luggage rack so we had space for both dog and all our luggage.
I have fitted LED bulbs all round apart from the indicators. Night driving is a pleasure with such bright lights. Brighter lights also make you more conspicuous on the road.
The chassis has been undersealed from new. The chassis is galvanised steel, the bulkhead is stainless steel and the wings and panels are Supaform aluminium.
Upholstery is black Ambla, (vegan and vegetarian friendly) and in good condition
