Description
This is a beautiful example of the Aston Martin DBS, finished in Quantum Silver with an Obsidian Black Semi-Aniline Leather interior. Featured in two James Bond movies, namely Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, this car's timeless design has made it a modern classic sought both by collectors and keen GT owners looking for a thrilling driving experience. With moderate mileage and a comprehensive Aston Martin service history, this is a wonderful example ready for its next owner to enjoy - the car is currently held in a secured facility in Milan (where the seller has relocated), but can be transported back to the UK for UK based buyers. Note that this particular DBS is the 2nd generation (i.e. post 2011 facelift), with modernised and improved cockpit (e.g. metal switches for seats adjustment instead of thick black plastic on pre 2012 models) and equipped with the rare 2+2 seating configuration and Bang & Olufsen speakers, enhancing its exclusivity. Lastly, note that the vehicle is fitted with hands free CarPlay as well as front and rear parking cameras which were installed by renowned Aston Martin specialists "Aston Installations" in Cheltenham. This was a significant investment by the current owner which made the car much more user friendly and modernised for everyday use and GT road trips.
History of this landmark Aston Martin model:
The Aston Martin DBS was first introduced in 2008 to great acclaim (having been previously seen as prototype in James Bond Casino Royale) and was the third all new Aston Martin to be hand built at Aston Martin's purpose built facility in Gaydon . This iconic car was designed by Marek Reichman and was built around an aluminium riveted and bonded VH (vertical-horizontal tub). This front/ mid engined GT was fitted with an enhanced version of all new 6L V12 engine producing an impressive 510bhp. This engine coupled with the Touchtronic II gearbox, active ride suspension and all new carbon ceramic brakes means the DBS is perfectly at home in city, open roads or racetrack. As with all hand built Aston Martins only the finest materials are used including carbon fibre which dramatically reduces weight giving an impressive top speed of 191 mph.
