Description
With a very heavy heart, I have decided to sell my treasured 2005 Toyota Celica. The simple reason for this is that, having owned it since October 2008, I feel it's time for a change and I want to buy a newish Mini Cooper Sport.
The car body is in exceptional condition for the year, as the photos will show. There are a very small number of superficial marks which can probably be removed with T-cut, and, regrettably, one small but less superficial scratch which I've endeavoured to show in one of the photos on the bonnet.
Although the vehicle has covered around 112 000 miles, this is not exceptionally high for a 20-year-old car. The car sounds good and runs really well, with no known mechanical problems. Like most Toyotas, it has always been ultra reliable and has never broken down or failed to start.
It has had just two keepers, including myself, comes with a full service history from new and a 12-month MOT. There is a whole file of other documentation ready for inspection and 2 keys.
As can be seen in the paperwork, the work carried out on the vehicle in the last 5 years includes the following;
A full respray in 2023 - due to colour fade, not to mask areas of corrosion;
brake discs and pads replaced;
hydraulic struts for the boot;
replacement tyres;
restoration of alloy wheels in 2023
replacement antenna in August 2024
new battery purchased this year.
The sound system is a Pioneer DEH-4800 DAB, is in full working order, and is of very crisp and clear quality. The manual is included in the sale.
Apart from the nick on the bonnet mentioned above and shown in one of the photos, the bodywork is in extremely good condition. There is little, if any, visible corrosion, and the vehicle has been looked after really well by myself in the past 17 years. No underbody welding has been necessary.
Summing up, if you're looking for a stylish, reliable coupe with standout looks and a bulletproof engine, I am confident this Celica won't disappoint.
