Always well cared for, this Beetle is the A5 'Design' model - the last and best incarnation of the 'new Beetle' range made by VW from 1997 to 2019. The car has done 137,000 miles but has been very well maintained and drives like a car with half of that mileage. The 1600 TDi engines fitted to these Beetles is also used in many models across the VAG range, and is famous for its reliability and economy. This car has a stamped up service history from new showing regular services at VW main dealer workshops and independent specialist garages. The oil and filter were changed on 17th April 2025, at the same time as the MOT test. It retains the charm and good looks of VW's original 'bug' and is nippy and easy to drive. All the usual features you would expect are present - remote central locking and alarm (both keys present), power steering, ABS, electric windows and mirrors, DAB stereo, factory fitted tinted windows, alloy wheels etc. The only thing which is worth mentioning is that there is a little bit of lacquer peel on the front bumper (see photos). This is common with Beetles but is a quick and easy fix. I never bothered as it hardly notices, and didn't bother me. A great little car which always turns heads and stands out with it's bright red paintwork and white alloy wheels. Only selling to make way for another classic car for my collection!
