Volkswagen Transporter Caravelle, 1.9 TDI PD 5-speed Manual, finished in Ravenna Blue, registered in October 2005 with 273500 miles on the clock currently , the van runs very well and doesn't skip a beat, we have owned it since September 2021 and had converted the van from a nine-seater shuttle into a fully functioning camper van. We serviced it every year having conducted multiple minor and major services, we have also maintained it regularly conducting works required for the and in addition to MOT requirements. Which includes the timing belt and water pump as they were replaced in May 2023, when the vehicle had 258,500k miles. Unfortunately, the MOT has expired as we no longer needed this vehicle but it has done less then 1k miles since the last MOT. There's however an issue with the gearbox, in that when you come to stop in 5th gear it becomes stuck in that gear, but does not occur when stopping in any other gear and / or when selecting a gear, it slips into and out of gear fine when travelling at the appropriate speed for the gear required. The vehicle is fully carpet / vinyl lined, sound deadened and insulated, it also comes with a leisure battery, switch charge relay which is wired directly into the main vehicle battery, so it is ready to be refitted with units and roof lining and it can be reused as a camper once more. We're selling the van with 19" alloy wheels, a new front-end conversion which was completed in 2021 giving it a much more modern look, full leather reupholstered front seats and the Fiamma F45s awning which is attached to the passenger side of the van. Additionally both sliding door windows were replaced in early 2022 to ensure the van was watertight. Lastly the exterior of the van is in good condition for its 20-year age, with only a few areas of surface rust which has bubbled under the paint.
