Description
For sale is my Peugeot 208 1.6 HDi. I am the second owner with the first being West Yorkshire Police but have owned him since June 2024. 'Bov' (named as soon as we bought him) was purchased as a stop gap between work cars and just stuck with us since. He is silver metallic with a black cloth interior and big thick rubber floor mats (again something that's great for muddy boots). 'Bov' does have wheel trims but I removed them early on as they are a bit scratched and I preferred the 'non-trim' look, but they will be provided to the new owner. Equipment wise, Bov has electric windows, heated electric mirrors, Air-Conditioning (Which is cold!), Cruise Control (Works) and Bluetooth Radio/CD which provides phone hands free and the ability to play music. Being ex-police he has been very well maintained and comes with a Full Service History comprising of 6 stamps from the West Yorkshire Police Transport Workshop when I purchased him. Since then 'Bov' has been serviced by a local garage with further stamp and invoice for a 'Timing Belt, Water Pump and Oil Filter change' at 96,667 miles. He has just turned over 101,000 miles and the service intervals are 15,000. 'Bov' has four 'Goodyear' tyres with plenty of tread all round and has also had new suspension bushes in 2024 (invoice within history). As I depend on my car for work it must be reliable and so all preventative maintenance work has been carried out. 'Bov' is 'ULEZ' compliant (a must for me) and also extremely frugal on fuel returning 65.6mpg on regular trips into London and more on a longer run. 'Bov' does have some scratches and small dent on the rear drivers side door (photo included) but cleans up well. He is good fun to drive and very responsive with masses of torque from the diesel engine whilst the upper gears are very long legged and perfect for motorways providing low revs and great economy. I shall be sorry to see 'Bov' go but a new vehicle beckons. If you are after a first or second car that is fun and frugal then look no further!
