Description
1998 - BMW M3 Evo 3.2 coupe track car - 87k miles - Road legal, MOT expires March 2026.
Owned by myself for the last 17 years and been in my family ownership prior to this. The car was stripped to a bare shell and installed a full custom cages certified welded in roll cage. This cage links to the front & rear struts making the chassis completely solid. The car was rebuilt with weight saving mind with days of labour carefully removing unused wiring, sound proofing etc. The drivetrain of the car is almost standard, it has a full carbon intake manifold, upgraded air filter, etc, but still runs original exhaust and hasn't been re-mapped, so never abused. I do have a spare engine control unit that came from a S52 M Coupe, that will be sold with the car if the new owner wants to remap. Large custom made alloy radiator with factory oil cooler. Custom cages seat mount tubes welded in with captive fixing when cage fitted, allowing seat adjustment if required, all new when installed with 5 point harnesses secured to roll cage. The suspension is upgraded to Bilstein PSS9 coilovers with adjustable ride control, along with adjustable rear camber arms, adjustable camber front top mounts. Brembo big brake kit front & rear with floating discs. I have two additional sets of lightweight Team Dynamics alloy wheels with Toyo 888 tyres and slicks (one set black and one set silver) which are included within the price. It has fibreglass bonnet and boot lid with motorsport quick release lockable aero catches. All windows are polycarbonate, except the windscreen which is heated. Original speedometer, Spa gauges added for fuel pressure, water temperature, oil pressure/ temperature. Hardwired Peltor intercom and camera.
The car has been kept in a heated garage during my ownership and has always been regularly serviced. Just been MOT & oil changed ready for new owner. These days with young kids I don't get time to enjoy the car and it's just been sat in the garage unused for the last few years, hence making the decision to now sell.
The car is road legal, MOT valid until March 2026 and has a genuine 87k miles since new. It did have a front end bump 20 years ago which was professionally repaired.
The V5 is in my name and the car is available to view at my home address in Sheffield S21.
Its not easy to find on the autotrader app, but there is a video of the car shown on the Nurburgring 10 years ago.
