Why buy this particular 1 series.... It has recently had a new VANOS system (look this up, you will thank me) installed by Wollaston BMW, a new clutch along with new front disks and pads. Total spend approximately five and a half thousand. Receipts for all work can be provided. The VANOS is a known issue on these cars, with a replacement cost in excess of three thousand, so having had this replaced should provide any new owner some peace of mind. We had a new MOT in April, so the car currently has 11 months MOT remaining. We have had this car from 17,000 miles, It has been a fantastic family car for us and has been well looked after. The paint work is in excellent condition as is the rest of the car. We get an average 41 miles to the gallon which is not at all bad. It is a smooth and quiet car to drive with enough power to be comfortable in town, in the country and on motorways. It has the sport trim and no modifications. So why are we selling...? My wife has access to a company car scheme, so we are about to take delivery of a new electric car, leaving the BMW surplus to requirements. If you are looking for a good BMW 1 series that has been well looked after then this could be the car for you.
