Description
Bought this car back in 2012 @ 35k miles, it was my daily driver until 2017 when we had kids (@ almost 100k miles), then it got swapped into being the family car (so my wife could keep her beloved MX5) and I bought a new daily.
Since then it's had a quiet life with karting the kids around and the family holidays to mostly Devon and back with runs to Manchester for work every now and again to give it a decent journey.
It had extended warranty so was main dealer serviced until that expired, since then it's been looked after extensively by Wheelbase in Hersham, a local VW/Audi specialist who were a main dealer 20+ years ago.
Back in 2024 it was written off because a van pulled out of a side road in traffic and hit the door in slow traffic (see photos), the van's insurance company never bothered inspecting it, they just paid out. One of the guys at work trades cars in his spare time and happened to know someone breaking a red Audi, so one replacement door bought and swapped on by the local specialist who services it, job done. The paint code is a match but if you look you'll see it's a younger door so slight colour difference.
Anyway, I've replaced it with an E Class estate as the kids are bigger and we were thinking that it would make sense to go larger anyway, so it's now looking for a new owner.
It would make a good tow car for someone I expect as when we were building an extension, I had a removable tow bar fitted for borrowing a mini digger. In the end the builder moved the digger so the tow bar is still brand new!
It was the "dealer launch" model for this generation A4 Avant so has electric front seats, Audi Music Interface, B&O stereo, Sunroof etc.
New tyres earlier this year, MOT'd for sale, the self levelling headlights were not levelling, needed sensor arm on rear suspension changing, done by Wheelbase for about 250 pounds.
Comes with Blufin engine tuning device, plugs into OBD port, takes power from 260- 300 bhp, switchable, switched it off when we had kids, takes 5 mins to add back.
Bad Bits:
It's not a new car, has a warning on dash for suspension issue but having spoken to Wheelbase, it's not the shock, it's sensor in shock, you can't buy sensor on it's own so would be about 500 to fix.
It has previously mentioned colour dif. on door at the rear.
It has minor scuffs / scratches on bumpers, shown in photos.
Two panels had cosmetic paint over years and are fading slightly.
