Description
I am on the only owner of this wonderful little sportscar. As such I've done my best to look after her. When covid hit I got into doing all the servicing myself. I have a book of receipts and dates of any work I did. On top of this, I ensured that any bolt that comes off gets cleaned and greased before going back on. You won't get that level of preventative maintenance from most garages.
Never missed a service and always used Mazda parts where possible, normally from .
Currently sporting Eibach lowering springs and Eibach Anti-Roll bars to get rid of the torrid body roll this generation comes with. Now it rides significantly flatter in the corners with the added bonus of having a very pointy front end. Its now very easy to control the chassis mid corner and makes for an excellent drive.
It's been my daily for 9 years. The first 6 were mostly motorway driving, the last 3 have mostly been B roads. Its never broken down, proving the MX-5 standard reliability, and never faltered in an MOT.
I never intended to sell when I bought it. However, circumstances change a lot in 9 years. We need a bigger car for the family (isn't that always the way?) and we don't have the space to keep it. I think I'll genuinely cry a little when it goes, but I know whoever takes it will love it too.
