Description
Low mileage for its age, uncommon automatic model, 1999 Volkswagen Golf 1.6 SE in silver. 79,285 miles. Been our family grocery getter for the past year but since moving to the countryside we've since upgraded to something larger and so this little one needs a good home. Comes with an almost full year's MOT until March 2026. Can now qualify as a classic at the Festival of the Unexceptional and would make a perfect first car, super easy to work on and find parts for as you still see so many on the road today. Comes with an alpine subwoofer from the last owner before us, we've never used it but can't see why it couldn't work given the proper head unit.
Work its had done on it in the past year or so:
4 new tyres
2 new front wishbones
New thermostat housing
All bulbs changed
New earthing points
Mileage may creep up by just a couple of miles as I regularly drive it around the estate to keep everything flowing. Car is currently on SORN and has been since April and is driven on private land because aforementioned replacement.
With all cars of this age, the rust has begun to creep in but it's predominantly surface rust only and can easily be sorted out if kept as a long term family friend. All in all it just needs a thorough good clean, has done the distance from Bristol to Brighton and back again no trouble. 1200 ONO. No swaps/trades. This is NOT a parts car. Subwoofer will not be sold separately. Cheers.
