For Sale: My Beloved Mini Cooper S Checkmate Edition (2006) I'm reluctantly parting ways with my beloved 2006 Mini Cooper S Checkmate Edition after nearly 5 years as i just dont get the time to drive it anymore. I thought I'd share a little about this incredible car that's brought me so much joy. First off, it is UNDENIABLY a pocket rocket! It's quick, really quick - the kind of quick that puts a smile on your face every time you drive it. The exhaust pops and bangs, wglhich is a typical Mini Cooper quirk but dtill makes you dmike. The real crown jewel is that supercharger whine! It's addictive. Now, in all honesty - it's not perfect. 1) There's some slight bubbling near the rear left tail light which is fairly common for a Mini of this age and some very minor age related marks. 2) There is a slight blow on the exhaust but this has got through the last 5+ MOT's. In all honesty, you will likely want you swap this out for a full Milltek or Scorpion exhaust system which I would have loved to do but I have a teenager learning to drive (priorities and all that...) 3) The OEM 'Flame' alloys could do with a refurb, but again you will likely want to put on something to your taste. There are two keys, and a lot of history with the car. ALSO I have some genuine replacement Checkmate decals for the wings but haven't had the chance to put them on. Now I know there are better examples out there, with full exhaust systems and smaller pulley conversions.... This is completely standard and unfettled which is a good thing I feel. Time has come for a new owner to put their own mark on it.
