Description
I have my pride and joy dream car for sale, my Subaru Impreza WRX STI WR1 - Number 026 of only 500 models ever made, A true collectors car and an absolute pleasure to drive.
I have owned the car for just under 5 years, I purchased her on the 31st October 2020 and have loved every minute of owning my dream car. I've wanted one of these ever since they came out in 2004.
Engine & Gearbox
The EJ20 engine pulls hard and runs flawlessly. Gearbox is spot on - no crunches, no whining, just tight, smooth shifts as you'd expect from a road going rally car.
Recent Work
Timing belt recently changed (peace of mind for the next owner)
Sports cat and Blitz Nur-Spec back box, it sounds absolutely unreal. If you know, you know, nothing beats the iconic flat-four burble. Best sound in the world. I could listen to it all day.
Body & Condition
The car presents well overall, but there is some bubbling on the arches (common on these, and priced accordingly). It also has a few age related marks but overall the condition is as expected of a 21 year old car.
Wheels are 18 inch 7 spoke, It has up rated brakes on the front, larger discs and calipers and the standard brembos on the rear.
The Interior is in great condition for its age. The front bucket seats are extremely comfortable and the rear seats are comfortable too, I also have the original WR1 mats in the car which are extremely rare nowadays.
The WR1 Edition
These cars don't come around often. Factory upgrades over the STI include Prodrive enhancements, unique Sonic Blue paint, special WR1 badging, numbered tax disc (I didn't receive the tax disc with car) and upgraded suspension, it handles like it's on rails. Built to celebrate Petter Solberg's 2003 WRC win.
Why I'm Selling
I've loved every minute of ownership, but I don't drive it as much as i'd like too and it just sits there but the main reason I'm selling is my wife is expecting a baby soon so need money for them, it's time for it to go to someone who'll keep enjoying it or hopefully even take it back to mint condition. That would be awesome to see. I am a massive Subaru fan and have loved them for 26 years now.
