Description
I bought this car back in February as a stop-gap when my daily broke down on me. When I purchased the Jag it needed a couple of bits doing - these included a coolant leak and some rear suspension links.
Looking at the decent history folder that the previous owner had put together, a Jag specialist had been kicking the can down the road on the coolant leak for a year or so, and after having changed the split plastic housing behind the AC Compressor, I can see why. Though happily this cured the issue and it has run sweet (and dry) ever since.
In the three months of driving the S-type it has been absolutely fine, however I have now managed to get the previous daily back on the road and the Jag isn't really a bit of me - as nice as it may be.
If you are looking for an S-type, it's a good one. The tan leather interior is in good shape, though the headlining is drooping. It drives well with no knocks or bangs. As mentioned, the previous owner collated a nice folder of receipts and had spent a fair few quid on it during his ownership.
It has the odd age related scrape around the bodywork, but nothing major.
The only other issue I can think of is that whilst it has two keys, they require re-programming after the battery was replaced. The central locking works, but not on the buttons - only the old fashioned way.
Any questions feel free to ask.
