Description
How unfortunate. How unlucky. I bought this car at 46% higher price than what I am asking. I bought it from North West Autos, in Blackburn. I was most disappointed. It was a hurried collection. I did leave a review on Google for you to read. My car is clearly visible. Have a good read. You would think I would be fuming mad. Not so. My own stupid fault for being so naive. I did not have a test drive first. I relied on the professionalism of the mot tester, knowing the car would have to be road tested before being issued with a new mot. I'm left wondering about that. NWA have fitted a brand new battery and every wheel has a new brake disk. Clean oil and air filter. I changed the fuel filte thinking it would have been contaminated with old diesel grunge. The car had been stored for twelve months. Between the old mot and the new mot, the car had only done just 15 miles. Maybe contaminated fuel could have been forseen, but it's happened now. In any case, I'm glad I have an engine to worry about and not be trapped in that discusting situation in Gaza.
On the drive back home to Manchester from Blackburn. The car seemed faulty. By the time I actually go home for the evening, the car was on the back of an AA truck. It had broken down on the Motorway due to engine failure.
I need a new engine, which are hard to source with low mileage. So I will cut my losses and sell on Auto Trader. Hopefully to someone mechanically able and can create for themselves, a really decent car .
Foolishly, I never insisted on the vehicle being returned. Instead I accepted an over the phone refund of two fifty pounds as a full and final settlement.
Two verdicts on the car by two mechanics say a new engine is the best option. There are no oil leaks. No fluid leaks and the engine does tick over but at an obviously loud racket. See Video.
If you buy it. No mechanical messing about trying to get it to drive. It would break down within a mile or two. It needs to be towed or ride on a dedicated truck. Bought as seen by buyer. No refunds at all. If you have an engine for it and can install it yourself, even better.
I am looking for an engine now. If I get a decent low miles 1.3 diesel, I will keep the car and remove this add.
Definitely bought as seen by buyer. Or don't enquire. No mechanical work allowed on location .Logbook not present yet. Consider that it is a car without an engine.
Best of luck, to you and to me. I would much prefer to keep it.
