Description

This is my Mk5 Golf Variant. It is a sportline model - one we didn't have here. It has the 2.0TSI 200bhp engine from a GTI as standard, sport suspension and a few other sport options. 93k miles on the clock It also has the DSG gearbox (with paddles) and sport (cloth) seats. The car was imported from Japan in 2019 and is basically factory spec. There is towbar on it which is marked up as being from New Zealand, it also has the NZ electrics. The head unit has been upgraded to a RCN210 unit. This has Bluetooth, which you can use to play music as well as make calls I bought it in July 2023 and since owning it I have: -had the cambelt changed with water pump -upgraded the brakes to gti size and added braided hoses, black diamond pads and new discs -had the DSG serviced and fluid changed -speedo adapted to mph (odometer still in km) -changed the pcv -changed the fuel pump cam follower (common fault) -the engine has been serviced twice (next due in July) -fitted iridium spark plugs and Apr coil packs -fixed various trims -added the scirocco wheels -added multi function steering wheel -lanoguarded the arches and sills The general condition is great. There's no saggy headlining like most mk5s, the seats have no splits or rips. Everything works on it. The arches and sills are rust free as is the underside of the car. I just had the mot done on it, so it has 12months and is ready to go. Really drives nice and makes for a good size car with a bit of poke at 200bhp. Comes with 2 keys Bad points : The bonnet has a few stone chips in it and one small dent (upward). There is some lacquer peel on the front bumper, but barely noticeable (50p size) . It has had some paintwork on the roof. Few general marks on it being as old as it is, but looks great polished up. As mentioned, the tow bar wiring is New Zealand spec, I did look into changing it and it's actually very similar to ours, so the plug can be changed. I didn't do it though as didn't use it to tow. The volume controls on the steering wheel don't work, but the menu ones do. I think it needs a better adapter for the stereo (It was fitted when I bought it).
