2001 Fiat Barchetta (Riviera edition) including hard top A first generation Fiat Barchetta, one of the last cars to be hand-built by Maggiora before production resumed in-house by Fiat. This is the Riviera special edition with leather seats and interior, unique alloys and the first model with the boot-mounted third rear brake light. The leather is in good condition for its age with no tears and only mild signs of wear on the side of the seats and steering wheel. The original Fiat radio was replaced with a new Pioneer system to provide connectivity to Android/ iPhone through their SmartSync app for modern media management and navigation. The folding hood is not original and was replaced by a previous owner several years ago. It is in good condition and the plastic rear window is clear. The roof fits well and is watertight under moderate rainfall. These cars are designed to catch excess water in the storage well for the hood. The bodywork is a good condition with no rust and only minor chips, blemishes and sunspots. The alloys, too, are in good condition for their age, with minor scuffs only. All the electrics are operational with the exception of the offisde electric side mirror which can be tempermental. The sale includes the hard top - very rare - as well as a stand for the hood, a rear windcheater and spare side mirrors. The car has plenty of service history and has been in the ownership of Fiat afficionados (members of the Fiat Barchetta UK Owners' Club) who have maintained the car well and replaced parts when necessary.
