Description

Selling as I have bought another XK. This vehicle was originally supplied by HA Fox Jaguar to a customer in Cheltenham who kept it for 6 years. They told me that normally they wouldn't sell a 6 year old car themselves, but as they had serviced it continually they knew it's history and so had no reason not to. This filled me with confidence and I bought it as I knew it would sell quickly. It has been a delight to own, never let me down. The car performs extremely well having never failed an MOT, the next one being due in March 2026. At the last MOT the mechanic said the emissions were practically zero, the lowest he has seen so engine is spot on. The vehicle has a FSH and comes with all the paperwork. I have replaced both Pedestrian Protection sensors, one just after purchase and one more recently. The service plan recommends changing the gearbox oil and fuel filter at 80,000 miles and both were completed last service and at the same time the Aircon was regassed. The bodywork on this car is in extremely good order, there are a few small areas of paint bubbling but they have not worsened since appearing a couple of years ago. When polished up, she really looks the business and is a real head turner. The car is a convertible and the roof has been cleaned and protected every year with Autoglym products and shows none of that unsightly green algae that a lot of soft tops suffer from. The soft top roof opens and closes fine and with no leaks. Inside the car is ivory in colour and is also in extremely good condition. There were the usual signs of wear caused by trousers rubbing against the edge of the drivers seat, this was recently repaired and now looks much better. The engine bay is very clean, there are no signs of any scuff marks on the wheels. The rear disc pads will need replacing soon but there is about 1500 miles of wear left on them. The windscreen was replaced due to a stone chip in Dec 2024. There is one thing that doesn't operate and that is the glovebox lock. The plastic that holds the barrel and spring has broken and needs repair or a replacement but as I don't store anything of value in it, I haven't bothered. There are 2 sets of keys and the handbook. I also have the Jaguar workshop manual on memory stick as it is 4000 pages long! But a very useful source if needed.
