This rare example has had 6 former keepers. In its 14-year life, it has covered 56500 miles and has one of the best service folders I have ever seen. In January '13, at 2 years old, an insurance claim was made on the car, categorising it as a “CAT D” insurance write-off. This is the equivalent of a “CAT N” in today's market. It's unclear whether this is because the car was stolen and recovered or that it sustained light damage. Either way, there is no noticeable reason and the fact that the car remained covered by an Aston Martin Extended Warranty until 2019 shows that whatever it was was very trivial, as all vehicles have to pass stringent checks before that is put in place.
In the current keeper's ownership (5 years), it has been looked after by the renowned Aston Workshop in Beamish, Co Durham. I don’t think anyone understands a classic or modern Aston better than them. The owner had a no-expense-spared philosophy and asked that they always do anything necessary! Invoices total an astonishing £34000, maintaining this car, including an engine rebuild in 2021 to the tune of £21800. The folder also contains every single service invoice, parts invoices, and MOTs, back to when it was brand new. The last service was around 300 miles ago at 56258, and it drives perfectly.
It has been truly cherished, and as well as the aforementioned history file of invoices, old MOTs, service manual and paperwork, glass and plastic key, it also comes with a wind deflector, trickle charger and indoor car cover.
All of the above gives me every confidence in the car, and I would not be putting my name to it if I had any doubts! This example is better than many I have seen, and were it not for the insurance claim, this car would be circa £80k in today's market. So bargain buyers will relish that this is an opportunity to save 30% on the car's value.
