Description
Lovely 1997 Alfa Romeo 146 2. 0 ti in excellent condition inside and out. Drives beautifully. Proteo red with charcoal Alfa Romeo script branded seats (seats are darker in reality than they appear in photographs. They are in excellent unmarked condition, having had seat covers from new. Photographs were taken in bright sunlight - lots of shadows unfortunately). Same family ownership from new to 2017, and collectors thereafter.
Well-maintained and garaged; recent expenditure includes a cambelt service and water pump (April 2022), new tyres all-round, and in 2024/ 25 the clutch master and slave cylinders have been replaced. The cambelt and other belts have just been inspected for peace of mind. Also, within the last few years, the car has had brake fluid, a radiator, battery and front shocks. The MOT is valid until 13 September 2025, with no advisories, and the historic tests are all very clean.
Specification includes: 5-speed manual transmission, stainless steel exhaust (sounds lovely and not at all intrusive), alloy wheels, 4x electric windows, electric sunroof, ABS, electric mirrors, folding rear seats, front fog lights, PAS, remote locking, Alfa branded boot liner, boot mounted CD multi-changer, rear spoiler and original Phillips car stereo.
Overall, the car is in great condition throughout with just a smattering of light stone chips to the front, the alloys are excellent and virtually unmarked, the interior is lovely with unblemished seats - even the drivers bolster is unmarked. The car is rust-free and the headlamps are clear. Toyo tyres with minimal mileage all-round. There is a full book pack with the car, and three keys including the brown master. Selling as downsizing collection due to retirement. This rare car has been owned by Alfa enthusiasts and well-cared-for all its life, looks great and has an immaculate interior with lovely Alfa-branded seats. An unusual, practical modern classic car which is characterful and spirited to drive - equally suited to everyday or weekend use, and great fun. Reviewed in classic car magazine (see photo) in 2022 with minimal mileage but proper maintenance since
