Description

Fantastic example of a second generation 987 Cayman S with the significantly more reliable DFI engine married up to a manual gearbox and some tasty upgrades. I purchased the car from 911 Virgin in 2023 based on their reputation as a leading Porsche specialist, only stocking the best examples. They had previously sold the car and bought it back into stock so knew it well. The car has been used as intended with 70.6k miles but as seen in the photos, has been kept in mint condition. A no expense spared approach has also been taken to mechanical maintenance with a full Porsche/specialist history and a stack of invoices available to back up a fully sorted car. The last service was at Northway Porsche in January 2025 at 69.7k (Next due January 2027 or 89.7k). The MOT history shows only one advisory in 2015 for slightly worn front tyres! Carrying on from the previous fastidious owners, I put new Continental Sport 7 tyres on the car at 69k and replaced a front to rear clutch pipe that had started to weep. No other advisories were found by Northway at the latest service and these guys thoroughly go through the cars! Factory upgrades include sport chrono package, switchable sport exhaust (a must with the quieter DFI engine), heated leather hard backed sport seats, rear park assist, PCM/NAV and Bose. Other tasteful upgrades include Alcantara (steering wheel, gear stick, hand brake and centre console storage lid), short shift kit, H+R lowering springs (better handling and aesthetic without compromising ride), Cayman R rear spoiler (standard spoiler deactivated) and Cayman S decals. I love the car and they remain an absolute steal but I want to downsize my collection of modern classics now that my first child is here and takes up a lot of time! There will be cheaper cars available but I would hazard a guess that they will struggle to match the provenance, spec and condition of this example.
