This particular car is number 742 of the limited run and includes the highly sought-after original 40th Anniversary Porsche-branded luggage set. Well-regarded for its enhanced specification and limited production, this 996 variant features the factory-fitted X51 Powerkit, increasing output from the naturally aspirated 3.6-litre flat-six engine to 345bhp. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox, making it a true driver's car. The most recent service, totalling £3,500, was completed by marque specialist Silesian Garage at 59,451 miles. Previously owned by automotive YouTuber Sam from Seen Through Glass, and has been featured in several of his videos — adding to its unique provenance. The 40th Anniversary Edition is celebrated for its well-judged upgrades, with Total 911 magazine describing its specification as "verging on perfection." Highlights include: X51 Powerkit (345bhp): includes reworked aluminium intake manifolds, polished exhaust ports, and revised valvetrain GT Silver Metallic paintwork (exclusive to this edition) GT3-style side skirts and Turbo front bumper with integrated air intakes M030 lowered sport suspension Limited-slip differential 18-inch Carrera II lightweight alloy wheels with unique shot-blasted and polished finish Further enhancements include a Dansk sports exhaust and the replacement of the problematic IMS bearing and rear main seal with uprated components from LN Engineering.
