Description
An attractive, early series 3 FHC in rare light blue with dark blue leather interior.
UK based from new, with only 5 previous keepers recorded.
Large A4 file full of history from 1980 to present, including all tax discs and MOT certificates, receipts for work and parts.
Owned by me since Feb 2018, much money spent to keep the car reliable and presentable.
Work carried out during my ownership includes : The ignition system including the distributor replaced (2023), all four carburetors fully rebuilt rebuilt (2021), front suspension ball joints (2020), new clutch and brake cylinders (2021), exhaust manifolds replaced (2023), front seats rebuilt and retrimmed with colour-coded inertia reel seatbelts (2024), PAS rack replaced (2020)
The previous keeper to me owned the car for 18 years and it underwent a bare metal renovation (2001) with a new headlining fitted (2015). An E-type was always my dream classic, it has been a source of pride for me to own and drive and it has been used for EU holidays by me since 2018 - it always commands attention and has proven very reliable.
The engine is flexible and the sound of the V12 from the tailpipe is addictive. It has excellent torque so whilst on the move gear-changes are not always necessary to overtake slower traffic. Although content at motorway speeds, my favourite drives have always been A-road blasts where it excels.
Never used in adverse weather.
Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate included
MOT exempt, but valid until July 2025 and I will put it through a new MOT prior to sale.
