Description

Owned for over a year and used daily. Purchase 20/4/2024 - 93.800mi. Fabulous cruiser, elegant, comfortable. Ice cold AC. Fantastic soundtrack from the 6-cylinder, 2.5 - 218bhp engine. Upgraded stereo from facelift model (same trim - BMW Professional, looks exactly original) to have native USB and Bluetooth, even working with steering wheel controls. Rare opportunity came along and got another car last week, hence selling. Used every day until 31/5. Tank still almost full. Starts immediately every time. Rust free. Serviced twice in this past year, upon purchase (6/5/2024 - 94.600mi) and a year later (27/4/2025 - 98.600mi). Castrol Edge 5W-30 LL, OEM (Bilstein) filter. New spark plugs (rated NGK Laser Iridium) fitted 4/6/2024 - 95.200mi. Valvetronic eccentric shaft position sensor changed 19/6/2024 - 95.500mi, new valve cover gasket fitted in the process, no oil leaks. Very clean valvetrain and cam condition as seen in pictures. 2 new tyres fitted 20/9/2024 - 96.700 mi. Rears still in good condition. MOT passed with no advisories 9/1/2025 - 97.200mi [I was away for work Oct-Nov hence mileage barely moved in those months]. Injectors cleaned 22/02/2025 - 97.500mi. Anti-roll bar bushes and links replaced 5/4/2025 - 98.300mi. Mildly annoying knock resolved. Drive belt replaced 17/5/2025 - 98.700mi. Coolant hose flange (known as 'Mickey Mouse Flange') replaced at the same time with upgraded aluminium part to prevent the known issue of the plastic flange failing. 1,000 mile trip to Scotland with three colleagues during Spring bank holiday, wonderful drive returning 38.2 mpg for the full trip, fully loaded. Remaining 4 ignition coils (2 had been replaced before me) changed for trip, hence very recently, to remove a slight ocasional misfire that was indeed resolved. Spark plug inspection after the trip shows perfectly clean burn. Rear brake pads purchased for replacement but not fitted, will be included in sale. Bad points: -Cruise Control randomly refuses to engage. Will do after a minute or so. Once it does it can be on for hours. I call it 'character'. -Random (very) mild jerk when cold. Difficult to chase as it happens rarely and goes away immediately. Could be a few sensors, so rare it hasn't been an annoyance and not worth throwing random parts in. I'd still rather mention it. Bad points considered in price. Open to offers only after seeing the car.
