Description
A very tidy and increasingly rare Mk5 Golf GTI in the ideal spec: 3-door, manual gearbox, factory sunroof, and finished in Black. I have owned the car since 2017 and it has always been driven with care and looked after properly. It is completely unmodified, which is becoming harder to find on these now.
It has just passed its MOT with no advisories and drives brilliantly - smooth gearbox, strong pull through the rev range, and no warning lights. Mechanically sound and ready to be enjoyed.
The bodywork is in great shape overall. The driver side wheel rear arch is just starting to show a small patch of rust (photo to follow), but the rest is clean and presentable. The car has been fully valeted inside, and I will have the exterior professionally detailed prior to sale. The genuine GTI Monza alloy wheels are in excellent condition with only minor scuffs and are fitted with four nearly-new tyres.
The interior is clean and smart, with only minor wear to the driver seat bolster - far better than average for its age. The factory sunroof works perfectly. Please note: the interior cabin light and cigarette lighter socket are currently not working - this should be a simple fix for an auto electrician, but I have never got around to it as it has not bothered me.
This has been a fantastic car to own, and I will genuinely miss it. I have finally lost the long-running argument about why I need two cars - so, reluctantly, it is time for this one to go. It deserves to be used and enjoyed by someone who appreciates what it is.
With Mk5 GTI values now on the rise, especially for 3-door manual cars with sunroof, this is priced fairly for what it is. A clean, honest example that is ready to enjoy, with strong long-term potential.
