Description
The Porsche 911 GTS occupies a unique position within the 911 lineup, bridging the gap between the standard Carrera models and the high-performance Turbo or GT cars.
The "GTS" (Gran Turismo Sport) name first appeared in Porsche history with the 904 Carrera GTS in 1963, a lightweight race car built for the track and road but did not appear on a 911 until 2010. A successful and desirable variant of 911, each offers a genuine upgrade over the standard Carrera and can still be specified in the current model line up today.
We are pleased to offer this 2017 model 991.2 Carrera 4 GTS PDK Cabriolet, finished in GT silver metallic with just 27,000 miles and a Porsche main dealer history from new.
Offered on behalf of a client, it will be supplied fully prepared with a 12-month Porsche warranty.
Our thoughts
The 911 Cabriolet came of age with the 991 series, with torsional strength and sound insulation being a lot closer to its coupe brother. With its 3.0 twin turbo flat six engine producing 450 BHP, coupled to a 7-speed PDK gearbox, this GTS Cabriolet is a serious performer. 0-60mph comes up in under 4 seconds before powering onto a top speed of 190mph, certainly enough to satisfy most, whilst the 4WD ensures it remains a safe and easy companion even in the trickiest of conditions. And if the typical English weather becomes changeable, the roof can be electrically lowered or raised at up to 30mph when required. A high performance 911 for all seasons then? We think so.
