Description

Selling my Peugeot 306 Cabriolet for Spares and Repairs - the car DOES run and drive but I don't have the time or space for a project although it would make a great project summer car for the right buyer! I am afraid the service history has been lost but the car has been in the extended family for the past 5 years and had only a couple of minor advisories at the last MOT which I am happy to send. Good Bits - the car does run and drive, has working air conditioning and no warning lights on the dashboard. Hardly any corrosion across the vehicle or underside and the convertible roof was replaced approximately 5 years ago before it was stored and doesn't have a particularly milky rear plastic screen. Paintwork is in reasonable condition but there some dents and scratches to the paintwork as well as a very small rust spot - please see pictures. The car has an upgraded head unit with AUX, CD player and USB. We have also just fitted a brand new battery. The car comes with an original Peugeot wind deflector and cover - these are basically non-existent and is worth a significant amount by itself. Bad bits - the service history booklet has been lost. I would imagine the car will immediately require a Cambelt and full service as well as new tyres, discs and pads although it has been dry stored. The convertible roof does not currently operate and we have advised this needs a new switch although all windows do rise and fall electrically, albeit slowly. The tan leather interior needs a repair to the driver's side bolster and the usual roof and A pillar seals have perished and would require replacement with a like for like alternative. I spoke to a specialist and these can be made using a composite replacement which isn't too expensive and there are a few available via breakers yards. This would make a great project due to the fact that the engine runs and it is presented in a beautiful colour combination of metallic blue over tan leather. These cars are appreciating classics with less than 500 left in the UK and this is one of the last MK2 examples. The mileage is also reasonably low for the year. I have been advised that the car is worth at least this in parts so I will consider sensible offers only as it can be stored in the garage until the right buyer appears - there is a car cover will be sold with the vehicle, as well as all original keys, leather manual, spare wheel and toolkit. Car will need to be trailered due to no MOT and SORN status.
