It'sHas been a great car, but it's developed an intermittent "pre-safe" error message on the dashboard with a DTC code of U010187. According to the code it's a "communication with control unit Transmission " has a malfunction. I know it's a common problem on these and you can send the TCU away to be fixed for a pretty cheap cost but the fault developed when we had already decided to swap it for something newer. Also, due to job responsibilities I cannot be without a car while it is fixed. Car drives and changes gear absolutely fine, you just randomly a couple of times a week get the message on the dashboard. Even in a test drive it would be unlikely the error would show up. Car is generally in good condition with new tyres and brakes. Runs great, no knocking or smoke and returns 55mpg on the motorway. The front bumper is a bit scruffy and there is a crack on the windscreen (not a mot failure). It's been totally reliable until this error. Private plate not included. It's also a Cat S. I have accident photos (was front bumper damage and screen was smashed).
