Description
Porsche Boxster RS 60 Spyder - the car that takes its name from the Porsche Type 718 RS 60 Spyder, the racer that Hans Herrmann and Olivier Gendebien drove to outright victory in the 1960 12 Hours of Sebring.
only 1,960 cars have been built. As with its racing predecessor, this special Boxster is painted in traditional German racing silver, while the red roof and interior also pay homage to the 718.
Exterior additions include a unique front spoiler, rear clusters finished with a red cast and 19in Porsche SportDesign alloys with spacers on the hubs to make them fill the arches more purposefully. The sports exhaust adds a bit more visual muscle and helps give power from 295bhp to 303bhp, while Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) allows two-stage in-car adjustment of the suspension settings.
The coolest feature inside the RS60 spyder, by far, is its three-pod stand-up instrument cluster that does away with the standard Boxster's instrument cowling. Styling cues are a mix of modern and classic, with an aggressive Porsche SportDesign front valance, a black-framed windscreen, and GT silver metallic-finished center console, red silver rollbars. Silver seatbelts, a special gearshift knob, surface grooves in the sport seats, door linings, steering wheel rim, and hand brake lever, along with stainless steel, RS 60 Spyder-engraved door sills all add exclusivity to this special edition and reflect the aluminum and leather trim found in the original RS 60 Spyder
This Porsche rs 60 has only covered 34,000 miles with full service history present along with users manuals this car has been kept in a dry storage which shows in the cars excellent condition it would make a good car for a part of a collection or a lovely weekend driver. 22,500 Ono 07966 293307
