Description
This beautiful Jaguar XK8 convertible in Topaz with cream leather seats has the unusual bonnet with grilles - a special order back in 2001 by the first lady owner when she and her husband bought a 'his and hers' duo of Jags.
21 years later, with only 55,000 on the clock, I fell in love with the car and treated myself to a post-Covid, back-to-work present! Still with only 62,472 (as of 13th June) miles, I'm heading to retirement and just don't need a big car anymore, and to be honest, I never did get back to regular driving again - hence only adding about 2,500 miles a year.
The car is a joy to drive - so comfortable on all road types. The last two services were at Chiltern Jaguar Land Rover, so she purrs beautifully. I have a long service history from the previous owner.
Outside, the paintwork is in good condition with some very minor chips/scratches commensurate with age and general driving. The alloys were refurbished when I bought it and have faired well. All tyres are good, including two new ones. The soft top is in excellent condition and functions correctly.
You can see from the MOT that there were advisories underneath, which I have just spent 1,200 getting done including undersealing - see photo of the receipt.
Inside, the car is extremely tidy. There are no rips or tears in the leather, which I have treated regularly. There is a small carpet blemish on the driver's side and the driver's seat belt buckle assembly has some damage although this does not affect the seat belt function or the MOT. The wooden dashboard and trims and excellent, with only minor crazing on the gearstick knob.
Note that the registration number is the original and has been put back on instead of my personal plate (H5 SHH).
This is a super example of a classic Jaguar car. Sensible offers considered.
