Description
For sale is this incredible early example of the Abarth 124 Spider, No.28 off the production line. Love Italian design but want Japanese reliability? All Abarth Spiders are manufactured on the exact same production line as the MX5, Abarth add the 1.4 Multiair engine and exhaust system, the Limited Slip Differential, slap a Scorpion badge all over it and that's the 124 Spider.
Comes equipped with 2 cupholders, capable of holding your drink in 3 different places, all of which are almost inconvenient. Heated seats so you can drive this all winter, they genuinely are brilliant, as is the heater, top down winter driving is great. Air Conditioning, which with the top down is probably the most decadent guilty pleasure in life. Of course it goes without saying that driving with the A/C off is easily worth another 300bhp.
Also comes with a Bose sound system, which you will never use because you'll just spend all of your time listening to the incredible exhaust tone.
The fully manual convertible top can be dropped in a matter of seconds and put back up in just the same, no electric motors to wear out.
I've changed a couple parts (for the better) on the Spider but still have the originals. Want your radio antenna to look like you're communicating with the International Space Station? I've still got it and it's all yours, Rocketman. What sets these cars apart is the incredible manual gear shifts, but if that's too much for you and you want to feel the most unsatisfying gearknob known to mankind in your palm, fear not, I still have the original knob as well, just for you.
A genuinely brilliant car for the summer or any other of the seasons really. Definitely capable of being a daily driver, but beware you may start collecting nicknames around the office like "Legend" or "New Managing Director". With an Abarth 124 Spider, you may command a level of respect amongst your peers that you aren't ready for.
(Seller does not accept liability or responsibility for Abarth ownership not resulting in promotion or perceived respect from peers).
