Description

We are selling due to moving home and no longer have space for the car. This would be a great project/restoration/parts vehicle. The mechanics of the car have been completely overhauled with over 6,500 worth of repairs meaning the car starts first time, every time - even in winter. The repairs include: - Reconditioned Engine fitted (with only 840km/521 miles driven) - New Thermostat - Replaced all hoses for silicone - New uprated aluminium radiator, cap and fan switch - New brakes, drums, cylinders and shoes - New brake master cylinder - New stainless steel brake line set - New brake pipes - Refurbished rocker cover - New cold start/idle valve - New ignition coil - Aluminium Oil Filler Cap (no longer sold) - x4 New seatbelts - New Ignition Cables (Magnecor) - New Figaro Strut Brace - New Tie Down harness for roof - Battery disconnect isolator switch - New stainless steel rear window frame - Refurbished steering rack - High pressure hose for power steering - Refurbished polybushed rear trailing arm set - New stainless steel exhaust system - All four new shock absorbers, coil springs, suspension arm/wishbone, top mount and bump stops - New Tonneau Cover There are also loads of spares to go with the car including a new replacement roof lining which has yet to be installed. All of the original chrome fittings and wheel polos are still with the car but were removed during some body repairs and just need to be refitted. You'll notice in the pictures, some of the repairs which are not completed. We had this car with a local restoration garage who went out of business before they could finish. In 2022, the car was sent to The Figaro Shop in Oxfordshire who completed repairs to MOT standard. However, local garages claim they cannot MOT the vehicle due to "its condition" - we also cannot afford to send the car to Oxfordshire every year for an MOT. Due to this, it does not currently have an MOT.
