Celebrity first owner, DJ Chris Evans. This 6.75 litre Bentley Brooklands was originally the Jack Barclay demonstrator for the 1996 facelift model, first registered on 3 August 1995 and adorned with their number plate 1 JBL. On 1 September, the Bentley was purchased by DJ and famous car collector Chris Evans. This was nearly everything he had in his bank account at the time according to one of his Daily Mail column pieces and autobiographies, in which there are several mentions of the car. The history file includes images of Chris driving the car outside the White Horse pub in Hascombe (close to where he used to live) and with Holly Samos outside the then Virgin Radio HQ in Golden Square, Soho when Chris ran up against some local traffic wardens! The Bentley is in the rare colour scheme of 'Racing Green Basecoat' with red coachlines, Spruce Green leather interior and matching lambswool over rugs. The history includes a copy of the factory build sheet for the car. Originally supplied with the optional chrome grille, this was subsequently painted in the body colour by a previous owner. Currently also fitted with window tint film but this could be removed if required. Comes with the original owner and service handbooks, toolkit and even a Bentley umbrella. The car has now covered 127,700 miles and comes with bills of thousands in servicing and repair costs, including replacement head gaskets, alarm and front seat ecu repairs (all common problems). The current Mot runs until 15 April 2026. This has been my first Bentley and it certainly attracts attention everywhere it goes.
