Description
Super cheap to run, and fun to drive Smart Car. Great as a first car.
Owned since 2018, it has had a service every year with its MOT, but I never thought to log it in the book to record that. 35 a year tax, and efficient on fuel. It's a great little workhorse, the boot is surprisingly spacious, as is the leg room, and the dash has handy cubby holes. The acceleration has good pick up for the size and age of the car, you can park it in the tiniest of spaces, it has a retrofitted rear parking sensor. It has flappy paddles and a gear stick for the gears and no clutch. So you do change gears, but no clutch control required, and it'll go down to 1st automatically when you stop. The roof works fine and retracts by pushing a button.
Its disadvantages are that it has a chip on the windscreen, it doesn't have power steering, (it can be heavy if you are turning without moving). The body work has some minor scratches, in line with its age. The suspension is hard, and you really feel the speed bumps and potholes!
