Description
Rare factory built Southern Roadcraft SRV8 Cobra replica.
The car was built as a rolling chassis by the factory with a Jaguar XJ6 as donor car in 1987 (documented history). The power plant is a Rover V8 3.5l fitted with a holly carb.
Despite being a kit car, the V5 taxation class is 'Historic Vehicle' meaning it is exempt from road tax and MOT!
The car comes with a cream toneau cover and a full soft top option in black.
I have owned the car since 2009 but it has been garaged unused for the past 5 years. I will be sad to see it go but it is time for someone else to enjoy it...
Last MOT dates back to 04/2019 having covered just 150 miles from a full engine overall. The car has been SORN since then.
The car is not in show condition... it is a useable, cheap to run classic that offers a great base to be improved and tailored to suit its new owner. The paintwork is not perfect: orange peel in places and some scratches but the body is fibre glass so no rust!
I've tried to start the car but although it turns over, it won't fire up... It has been sat so long that I suspect the fuel lines may need flushing? Inspections welcome but I am not mechanically minded so don't rely on me!
The car is priced reasonably to sell in its current state, it would easilly be worth 10k more with very little TLC so please don't waste my time with silly offers.
