Description
This 1965 Mustang Fastback GT350 Tribute stands out as a great fully restored example. Finished in striking metallic blue with iconic white stripes, is a superb rust free model that has undergone extensive restoration work. Originally built in the New Jersey factory and first registered in 1965, this Mustang was restored and imported to the Uk in January 2019 and has since been further upgraded (additional 13k spend). The current keeper has owned the car for four years, ensuring it remains in excellent condition. The restoration included significant structural work, with new offside and nearside full floors, a front lower bulkhead and inner sills. The rear inner arches were also replaced, the braking system has been upgraded, converting the front brakes from drum to disk while the rear brake cylinders and brake shoes have been replaced. Under the hood the Mustang is powered by a 289ci (4.7L) V8 engine, coupled with an automatic transmission. The odometer, now replaced with with a digital readout indicates 300 miles since replacement while the original odometer recorded 42000 miles. Aesthetically the car features a Shelby GT350 front bumper with white pinstripes and decals on the doors and rear quarters, enhancing it's classic appeal. The vehicle rides on a set of 14 inch wheels maintaining the classic look. Inside the black upholstery is in excellent condition with slight creasing that reflects it's vintage. The door cards, carpets and headlining are all well maintained while the cabin is complemented by a wood-trimmed three spoke steering wheel. The metal dashboard shows a few age related marks. This Mustang was last MOT'd in January 2019 and has since completed approximately 300 miles. A fantastic Mustang GT350 tribute.
