I purchased this car in April 2001 with 6 recorded miles. All the usual GTI spec plus factory fitted options are electric sunroof, climate control air con and leather Recaro seats. It has a full service history with all receipts - maintenance in the last 6 years included replacement of the clutch, cam belt, cam chain, water pump, air conditioning compressor, rear springs and shocks. Wheels were refurbished by Lepsons, tyres are Michelin Cross Climate. In 2014 I ran over part of a burst lorry tyre, causing damage to the front bumper and radiator. The insurance company decided it was uneconomic to repair so I paid them to retain ownership and had the repairs done by the garage that maintains the vehicle. The DVLA government testing station issued the required identity certificate and MOT for it to be taxed and insured. The car comes with tailgate VW bike rack and VW roof bars. Bodywork is in good condition aside from minor rust on the drivers front wheel arch and tailgate lock. The car starts and runs smoothly.
