1996 Alfa Romeo Spider 2.0ltr 16v Twin Spark I have my good friend's little Alfa for sale. With the weather coming good and fresh MOT it is time for this cheeky little Alfa to find a new home for the summer. I have been storing and taking care of this car since the start of the year and in that time it's been subject to a full service, a good valet and any necessary work to give the new owner 12 months MOT and peace of mind (MOT passed 26th June 2025). The car is currently showing just over 130,000 miles but will rise ever so slightly due to being utilised in the sun. The exterior is red with very little fading, unusual for red car of this age. I've no doubt it has had paintwork in its life but baring age related stone chips to the front it is in great shape and very presentable. The interior is a mix of grey cloth seats and black plastics. Again all in great order, the seats are comfortable and still firm and all trim intact. Some trim pieces do rattle and squeak a little, in keeping with Alfa Romeo's usual standards. The convertible hood is probably the piece that lets the car down a little. It's not particularly pretty as can be seen in the pictures however it is water tight. I believe these are readily available and not too expensive either. At the MOT it was commented on its solidness underneath and surprisingly good condition for age and being an Alfa Romeo. There is a tiny spot of rust bubbling on the rear, off side wheel arch but it is superficial. The car pulls fantastically with a strong clutch and a really fun, go-kart feel on back roads. Only advisories are very typical ones, slight oil leakage and deteriorated brake lines. These seem to be standard advisories on most cars these days and do not in anyway shape detract from this cars road worthiness. It has partial service history with service book stamps and a huge file of receipts and invoices over its life. I have 4 keys with the car including the all important master key.
