I've owned my Z3 for the past five years and it's been a very reliable car. My main expense has been preventative maintenance and a new convertible roof fitted at Jack Smith's in Swansea. In all I have receipts totalling 2500.00 Regarding servicing it has been completed in June 2020 @ 99143 miles, Sept 2021 @ 102125, June 2024 @ 103370 and April 25 @ 104237. The only major bodywork which was required was a new outer sill in 2023 completed by my garage. The car is solid underneath and all suspension bushes etc have been replaced both front and rear. The engine is very good and being the 2.0 straight 6 it sounds great. The 2 extra cylinders it has over the 1.9 litre makes the power delivery very smooth. The auto gearbox is very responsive with a great kick down when required. Due to the rear window becoming 'milky' i took the decision to have a complete new roof fitted by the renowned Jack Smith of Swansea in Nov 2023. Due to the stock BMW radio not having Bluetooth I replaced it with a Continental unit which gives the same back light as the Z's dash lights. The interior is black leather (in great condition) with the addition of the seats being heated - great for those Autumn or spring mornings with the roof down! Also fitted is the removable wind break which fits behind the seats. In the boot the toolbox is complete and the original warning triangle is still fitted - I've tried to keep the car as original as possible. The car has a few minor stone chips to the bonnet and the paint has faded on top of the front bumper between the number plate and grille but please remember it's 25 years old! All tyres have at least 6mm of tread with the rears being replaced with Avon ZV7 tyres. Any insection welcomed.
