Description
This car was bought by me as a Category 'N' insurance write off. I've owned and driven it for over two years now and it's been a great little car which has given me no trouble, but I've recently replaced it with an EV. The insurance write-off was caused by It being next to another vehicle that was on fire. All the plastic trim on the passenger side had been partially melted by the heat. I replaced the affected parts including the door mirror and rear light. The paint on the passenger door and the passenger front wing are slightly bubbled in small areas, but it looks fine and doesn't affect the car, so I left that as it was. The red paint on the roof has started to bloom and is mottled in some areas. This is just caused by age and the common issues with red paint - I saw another identical car recently with the same issue. The laquer on the alloy wheels has deteriorated in places and there are some kerbing scuffs. Apart from those issues the car is in excellent condition. It's a top spec model with navigation, reversing camera, Car Play and cruise control. I had it serviced by a local garage in October 23 and then I serviced it myself in December 24 (see Halfords receipt for oil and all filters). When I first got the car, I had the engine remapped by SuperChips. This raised the peak BHP from 82bhp to 104. It does make the car noticeably more peppy and revvy. I replaced the front tyres with Michelin Vector 4 All Season tyres in November 23, so they've only covered a few thousand miles since then. The wet belt looks to be in perfect condition and I've supplied a photo of me checking it with the specific measuring tool for the 1.2 engine to demonstrate it's good. This is a great little car for someone looking for a modern, well equiped and cheap-to-run car. The asking price reflects the history and cosmetic issues.
